Building a future-proof agricultural sector together

Next Tech Nature Farms accelerates the agriculture of the future by bringing together technology, data, and collaboration. With Breda Robotics as the driving force behind AI and robotics in agritech, partners are working on smart, scalable solutions for a sustainable agricultural system in Brabant.

Cause

The agricultural sector faces major challenges regarding sustainability, technology, and scalability. Accelerating innovation calls for closer collaboration, better alignment between projects, and the joint use of knowledge and resources.

Next Tech Nature Farms responds to this by:

  • connecting existing projects and initiatives;
  • to pool knowledge, data and resources;
  • to stimulate cooperation between regions and sectors;
  • to facilitate co-creation between partners.

What does the project focus on?

Within Next Tech Nature Farms, various substantive work packages are being worked on. Breda Robotics is the lead for:

WP1: Agritech Brabant – Machine Data & Machine AI Cluster

Within this work package, the focus is on strengthening the role of data and AI in agricultural machinery and applications.

Concrete activities include:

  • developing a 5-year roadmap for agritech initiatives in the region;
  • mapping and connecting existing projects within Agri & Food;
  • The development of an Area Robot Impact Assessment Tool, led by Van den Borne Campus.

Execution

The project is being carried out by Breda Robotics in collaboration with Agrifood Capital, Province of North Brabant, Brabant Development Agency (BOM), ZLTO, Van den Borne Campus, West Brabant Region and Green Tech Port Brabant. This project contributes to an attractive and future-proof agrifood ecosystem for robotics and AI in Brabant. 1 December 2025 to 31 December 2029.
