The aim of this project is to develop a generic technological platform that can be applied in both regions and is suitable for different types of crops. The successful implementation of a bird scaring system will lead to higher yields and greater certainty for both farmers and consumers.<\/p>\n<\/article>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"wp-block-group twee paddingtopbottom3 has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<article class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\"><strong>Solution<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">Goossens Malderen, Avular, Datacation and Qualified are joining forces to tackle this problem using drone technology. Through a phased approach, a system is being developed comprising a drone, motion detection sensors, and a deterrent mechanism. The project includes the construction and testing of a prototype that can operate automatically and prevent habituation in birds. Partners such as Flanders Make and Fontys University of Applied Sciences are providing support with technological choices, field tests, and the development of a business case.
