Concrete challenges from practice form the starting point for the development of&nbsp;<strong>innovative and scalable solutions<\/strong>&nbsp;for the agro-food sector.<\/p>\n<\/article>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"wp-block-group twee paddingtopbottom3 has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<article class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Innovation projects in four technology areas<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Within SAFT-&nbsp;<strong>seven innovation and demonstration projects<\/strong>&nbsp;carried out within four areas of technology:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Harvest robotics<\/strong>&nbsp;for more efficient and future-proof cultivation and harvesting processes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Lighting and camera technology<\/strong>&nbsp;for quality control and disease detection,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Weed identification and control<\/strong>&nbsp;with minimal use of chemical agents,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Data-driven smart farming<\/strong>, focused on secure data sharing and utilisation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The solutions are developed and tested in real-life agricultural environments and progress from applied research towards practical application (TRL 4\u20138).
